Murals

When you're done looking at ordinary walls,

Q&A

1. How much does a mural cost?

The price for an indoor mural starts at €150 per m². The cost is mainly influenced by factors such as the level of detail, the location of the work, the condition of the surface, and the size of the mural.

The price is calculated on a project-by-project basis, with the mural designed to fit the client's budget. Through thoughtful and smart planning, we've always found solutions that satisfy all the parties involved.

With a larger budget, you can have a fully painted, detailed mural covering the entire wall area. A smaller budget allows for a simpler mural of the same size, or a pattern covering just part of the wall, directly applied over the existing paint surface.

2. How long does it take for a mural to be completed?

The completion time is project-specific. The duration can range from a few days to several weeks, depending entirely on the size of the painting, the level of detail, the timing, and the location. You will receive an estimated completion time for your project before the painting begins.

It's the best to schedule the project during a quiet period when there is minimal traffic in the area being painted. The completion time can be shortened when work can proceed in uninterrupted stretches.

It's also important to note that if the project takes longer than the estimated time, there will be no additional charges. The mural will always be completed for the agreed price, carefully and thoroughly.

Valimo Center, Helsinki

The client wanted to elevate the look for the first-floor elevator lobby of the Valimo Center office building. A white 6.4m x 3m wall awaited a mural – I was given a budget and full creative freedom to design the painting. I also took into account the appearance of the rooms close by while planning the mural to ensure it harmonizes with the surrounding environment and aligns with Valimo Center's colors and brand.

The mural was very warmly received. I was told that from now on, it feels professional to walk through the space with clients.

Restaurant in Kamppi, Helsinki

The restaurant owner requested a 6m x 2.6m mural of a Helsinki landscape to add ambiance to the space. The room has large windows facing a busy street, so to enhance the sense of tranquility, I left out smaller details. To achieve an elegant result, I chose a single tone that perfectly complements the interior design and painted the entire scene using that, black and white paint. This ensures the mural works both year-round and at all hours of the day.

The mural completely transformed the restaurant's atmosphere, adding a sense of space and style. It has become a unique feature of the restaurant, adding character and serving as a great backdrop for photos and private events.

Satama Bar & Bistro, Kalasatama, Helsinki

The restaurant owner requested a dark Kalasatama landscape for this 8.35m x 2.95m wall, featuring the (then-existing) skyscrapers. When thinking about Kalasatama, I immediately thought of Isoisän Bridge, so I drew inspiration from the area. From Mustikkamaa, I captured the perfect Kalasatama-view, and the photo I took became the reference for the mural. The scene beautifully incorporates iconic elements of Kalasatama: the towers, bidge, metro, and sea. This over 24m² mural has been wonderfully received, functioning year-round during both lunh and evening hours, and providing a fantastic backdrop for performers in front of it.
